Interactive, fun, beautiful dogs and a great evening. Since the training I have updated my doggy first aid kit and practised my bandaging on my injured rotti on several occasions! It has to be said that Kerry is a skilled teacher using humour and logic to demonstrate her knowledge and experience. Her book is full of helpful information which is very user friendly.

Brilliant session – informative, interactive, memorable, great advice and guidance, a to the point handout and things to buy. Kerry’s dogs make it real – you can see how you would put on a bandage, use a muzzle, feel for a pulse, etc and I felt the course covered everything I needed as an owner to do the best for my dog in an emergency. The advice on getting your dog used to fairly unnatural situations such as looking at the roof of their mouth was extremely useful and I’ve already started clicker training my dog to get accustomed to the experience. I do hope I never have to use any of Kerry’s advice but if I do, this course means I’m very much more likely not to panic and remember what to do.

I was a bit skeptical about the course as I did wonder if anything taught would be useful as basically I believe in a lit knowledge can be dangerous. However I was so wrong. Everything taught was useful and I feel confident now I could cope if an accident occurred. As my dog is so precious to me I feel anyone with a dog owes it to them to learn basic first aid.

I would advise every dog owner who may have the opportunity to take part in a ‘Rhodes 2 Safety’ day to do so. Kerry makes the talk fun as well as very informative. There are some interactive moments too. Axel, Kerry’s Ridgeback dog is a star and patiently helps to demonstrate various points about Kerry’s talk. No chance to fall asleep in this lecture! You will learn a lot. Thank you Kerry.

Best First Aid course I’ve ever been on, doggy or human! Kerry is informational and engaging and I wished it had gone on for longer. Axl is a very willing ‘patient’. I highly recommend them both.

I attended Rhodes-2-Safety Canine First Aid when Kerry visited Rochford, Essex. I found her to be very professional, but at the same time, bringing her sense of humour to the course, making it very enjoyable. Her canine companion was the perfect assistant, tolerating all manner of procedures in demonstrations so calmly. The course taught me all I needed to know as a dog trainer and behaviourist and since attending, have used the skills on a few occasions for minor emergencies. I would thoroughly recommend Rhodes-2-Safety to anyone seeking to learn about Canine First Aid.

Fun, friendly and very useful the training was relevant to both canine and human. I am clinical and regularly attend human 1st aid courses but this was the most fun and therefore learning was enhanced.

I had never thought about doing any animal first aid before and being a nurse I thought I would have a fair bit of knowledge and confidence to manage most canine casualties but I was quite surprised how much I really “learned” that night. And also a few things I had done wrong in the past. It was absolutely money well spent and cheap at the price. I could have listened to Kerry all night. I think the group I was at could have spoke all night too but I felt Kerry managed her group very well. Always keeping things on track. This is something I will definitely repeat for a refresher in a few years time.

Thoroughly enjoyed the course. Presentation was professional and full of valuable information. I now feel much more confident about what I would do should an emergency arise and I am reinforcing what I learned with the help of the handbook. Both the course and the handbook are up to date with information delivered in a format that will help to jog the memory if an accident should occur when the mind would probably go blank! During the course Kerry held our attention and the three hours passed remarkably quickly. Many thanks it was worth every penny and I will recommend it to other dog owners.

Found the course extreemly informative and interesting, Kerry was fun and her Woofs are gorgeous and sooo well behaved..! Wouldn’t hesitate to book again and would defiantly recommend to friends and other doggie groups..!

We learned so much during the course. Kerry was extremely knowledgeable and informative with regards to her training. Her instructions were very clear and delivered in such a way, that I will certainly remember a lot of what we were shown. Best £30.00 I have spent this year!

Absolutely brilliant workshop. I attended the one held in Bargeddie, and it was great value for money. It was well planned, informative and fun. I learned so much about so many different topics of a dogs health and first aid. Kerry and her two dogs were so nice, welcoming and friendly. And the lovely ladies who ran the hall put on a lovely buffet and made a great cup of tea. Very impressed thank you Kerry

I have to admit, I was dreading this course as I am not good with medical things! But Kerry puts everyone at ease straight away, and the dogs are great to have around. First Aid can sometimes be a dry subject, but Kerry is very knowledgeable and makes the training fun, informative and you come away with information that could help you in the future. Very highly recommended.

Excellent canine first aid course. Been on one a couple years ago but didn’t have a patch on the seminar run by Kerry.
She really knows her stuff and made it all fun but really got the message across of how to treat dogs in an emergency situation. Lots of tips and ways to remember what to do in various situations from resuscitation to bandaging.
Being a dog groomer I found this course invaluable to working and looking after the dogs in my care.
Thanks Kerry and I’ll be updating my certificate when it expires.

Highly recommend this canine first aid course. Well worth the money. Very interesting and informative and delivered by Kerry in a very engaging and enthusiastic manner (assisted by 2 gorgeous dogs of course) Would definitely recommend the course, Kerry and her (canine) boys.

A brilliant course presented in a way in which makes the context easily remembered. Led by an enthusiastic person who was always willing to answer questions (no matter how daft they may have sounded).

I attended the first aid course in July 2015, and I have to say that the way all the information was delivered was fantastic. It was a fun afternoon and we covered so much. I work in a grooming salon and I also have my own dogs so every single bit was crucial to help me not only as a professional dog groomer but as a dog owner. I would like to say a massive thank you to Rhodes 2 Safety for giving me knowledge to help me help the animals, it is so important when needed in a life threatening situation and I am confident that I will be able to perform my new skills and do the right thing. I also bought the first aid book and I have to say that the way it is written is absolutely genius!! So easy to understand and an absolute pleasure to read. Brilliant, loved the course, very informatative and this course is a must for all dog owners.
Kerry and her able assistant Axl the rhodesian Ridgeback demonstrate a range of treatments that as owners we could face in an emergency. I feel equipped to deal with this following this training. I can’t recommended the course enough.
